The Technology

We do not spot fakes. We verify hardware.

Verified Reality is a timeline of forensic guarantees. From the moment a sensor captures a photon to the moment a downstream auditor verifies the file offline, every stage is a mathematically provable link in a single unbroken chain of custody.

The VRA Desktop Auditor: Trust the Math, Not Us.

We don't ask you to trust us; we give you the tools to prove it. Download the free VRA Desktop Auditor and drag any encrypted Truth Packet or Sovereign Decryption Kit directly into the application. The Auditor extracts hardware metadata, calculates the local SHA-256 hash, and walks the eight-pillar integrity board — all offline, against the bytes on disk.

For Arweave-stamped evidence, the Auditor goes further: it cross-checks your local hash against the Zip-SHA256 tag on the immutable permaweb transaction — no web app, no Supabase database. Sign in optionally to confirm cloud storage tier and published forensic reports; the cryptographic baseline stands on its own.

Drag & Drop Simplicity: No coding required. Drop the zip file, an encrypted Arweave kit, or a single media file — see the truth.

Permaweb Cross-Check: Encrypted kits downloaded from Arweave are hash-matched against the immutable transaction — no VRA database required.

Deep Metadata Inspection: View the raw hardware telemetry, GPS coordinates, and NTP server timestamps.

Audit Tokens: Seamlessly log in and purchase Audit Tokens to run high-volume batch verifications for enterprise workflows.

The Chain of Custody

Nine layers between reality and denial.

Every Verified Reality mission flows through the same stages. Sensors, metadata, time, storage, and verification are locked into a single cryptographic spine. Each layer is independent of the others and can be audited on its own.

  1. Hardware Trust01

    Active Interrogation

The capture session interrogates the device, the operator, and the physical scene in real time.

We do not accept a finished photo. The patent-pending VRA Protocol challenges the phone while it is capturing: parallax and motion signals, gyroscope and accelerometer continuity, GPS drift, and environmental sensors must all agree that a real person is physically moving through a real 3D space. A still image uploaded from a render farm can never produce that signature.

    Telemetry continuity
Motion, rotation, and GPS streams are recorded across the full capture window.
    Operator presence
Interaction patterns confirm a human operator is actually holding the device.
  2. Sensor Identity02

    PRNU Camera Fingerprinting

Every camera sensor has a noise pattern as unique as a thumbprint.

Photo-Response Non-Uniformity (PRNU) binds evidence back to the specific physical camera that produced it. Layered with Active Interrogation, this closes the last loophole metadata alone cannot close: we do not just know a capture happened — we know which device produced it.

  3. Capture-Time Seal03

    Immutable Core — EXIF + C2PA

At the moment of capture, the evidence is sealed into a forensic container.

File payload, EXIF metadata, PRNU reference, telemetry streams, location coordinates, and operator attestation are bundled into a Truth Packet. The payload is SHA-256 hashed and wrapped with C2PA content credentials so it participates in the emerging global content-authenticity standard. Once sealed, the EXIF becomes part of an immutable core — there is no editable copy of the truth.

    SHA-256 payload hash
Any future byte-level modification is detectable by anyone, anywhere.
    C2PA content credentials
Provenance travels with the file under the open content-authenticity standard.
  4. Cryptographic Time04

    Temporal Verification

VRA ensures truth can be captured anywhere by enabling offline sealing.

When disconnected from a DigiCert-class timestamp authority, VRA cryptographically seals Truth Packets using the device's internal clock. Full transparency is provided on inspection; any auditor can instantly verify whether trusted network time was present. Crucially, the foundational time boundary—the interval from the original order to the final packet upload—remains independently provable, establishing a secure forensic record.

  5. Custody Chain05

    Deterministic Chain of Custody

Every hop from sensor to courtroom is mathematically pinned.

Each transfer in the lifecycle — capture, packaging, storage, export, delivery — is recorded against the original SHA-256 hash. Custody is not a paper trail; it is continuous math. Anything touched, renamed, re-encoded, or re-exported breaks the chain and fails verification instantly.

  6. Immutable Ledger06

    Ledger Anchor of Existence

The hash is anchored to an immutable ledger the moment the seal is written.

Even if the Truth Packet file itself is lost or deleted, the proof that it existed — and exactly what its cryptographic fingerprint was at the moment of capture — is preserved on an append-only ledger. The ledger answers the future question "did this evidence exist in this exact form at that exact moment" without Verified Reality acting as a gatekeeper.

  7. Permanence Upgrade07
    Optional Upgrade

    Arweave Permanence Layer

For evidence that must outlive any single vendor, elect blockchain-grade permanence.

High-consequence captures — legal holds, provenance of fine art, institutional archives — can be pinned to the Arweave network for pay-once, store-forever redundancy. Commercial and consumer captures default to sealed storage; clients who need sovereign, decentralized permanence can elect the Arweave tier on a per-mission basis.

    Vendor-independent
Survives the company, the cloud provider, and the domain — the record persists on-chain.
    Pay once, store forever
Single economic event; permanence is not a recurring subscription dependency.
  8. Verification08

    Zero-Trust Auditability

Don't trust us. Trust the math. Verify it yourself, offline, against the immutable permaweb.

Any recipient can download the VRA Desktop Auditor and confirm a Truth Packet offline — against local cryptographic seals and, for Arweave-stamped evidence, against the permanent blockchain record itself. Encrypted Sovereign Decryption Kits carry an Arweave transaction ID; the Auditor hash-matches your local ZIP against the on-chain Zip-SHA256 tag without calling Verified Reality servers. Transparency is the product: the evidence either validates or it does not — independent of us, independent of the cloud, independent of the original capture device.

  9. IP Asset Layer09

    Logic Annuity / IP Registry

A verified capture is not just proof. It is intellectual property.

High-value verifications become long-lived IP assets. Creators and independent verifiers can retain royalty rights on evidence they've funded or produced. Every future licensing payment that generates commercial income is sent back to the owners based on embedded smart contract references. Hardware truth becomes compounding economic value.

Patent Pending / Production Ready

Proof you can hand to anyone. Verified by math, not by trust.

Every link in the chain can stand alone. Together they form an evidentiary record that survives cross-examination, the next synthetic-media breakthrough, and the ordinary passage of time.
